Legend has it that if you don’t eat fish at least once a week you won’t grow up to be big and strong! At least that’s what mother used to tell us. Hence the fish Friday tradition was born.
We like to do things a little different here at Laong’s Bistro so as well as offering you the choice of Fresh Haddock, Sea-bass or Salmon Trout we also have our excellent Seafood Basket on the menu and it’s available every day, not just Fryday.

I could eat this dish every day and never get fed up of it. Seabass, or “pla kappung” as the Thais call it must be one of, if not THE tastiest of fish available locally. We serve it a number of ways, this is Seabass in Red Curry Sauce (แกงเผ็ดปลากระพงทอดกรอบ) and it is absolute deliciousness on a plate.
A really tasty dish this one from our Flavours of Siam menu. Deep fried marinated beef with sweet fish sauce (เนื้อแดดเดียวทอดน้ำปลา). If you haven’t tried it yet then I recommend that you do. Our Flavours of Siam menu features over 50 traditional old style Thai dishes
You must give this one a try! Crispy fried soft shell crab (ปูนิ่มทอดกรอบราดซอสพะแนง) in a wonderfully creamy Panang sauce. Spice level is, as they say here “up to you”. Great with rice or if you’re Scottish, Chips! 5555
